Job Description

Netspend is seeking an experienced and energetic GL Accountant to join its accounting and finance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end close procedures, including account reconciliation preparation, journal entry preparation, and analysis of assigned revenue and expense accounts
  • Prepare assigned monthly financial reports analyzing variances in financial performance
  • Manage, account for, and analyze partner incentive and commission programs
  • Manage distribution partner records in data warehouse, including contract review, commission rates, and bank account data
  • Ensure that all commission statements and payments have been processed as scheduled
  • Respond to internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner
  • Perform reviews on strategic partner commissions
  • Review contracts to ensure terms are aligned with commission system capabilities
  • Respond to internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner
  • Identify, document and implement accounting policies and procedural improvements
  • Participate in cross functional company initiatives as necessary
  • Support corporate management with reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed
  • Assist with support of quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audit

Skills/Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 0-2 years of Accounting experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting and US GAAP principles
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively organize and present information and respond to questions
  • Experience in analyzing large transactional volumes, preparing trend analysis, and resolving variance issues
  • Hard working, detail oriented individual who is adaptable to an entrepreneurial team environment
  • Ability to think independently to solve practical problems and present solutions
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems, Oracle Cloud preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
