Community Barber and Shop is looking to expand our team! With our quick client growth and 5-star service, we are looking to hire a barber (barber license preferred but cosmo license applicants also considered). The barber we are looking for can jump right into an appointment and walk-in customer base. Our future barber will hold high standards of customer service, and skill and finds purpose in helping a small business grow. Our new hire will also be interested in continued education regarding the latest industry standards and techniques and be up to date on the latest hairstyling trends. Our future barber will be personable and accommodating to all client backgrounds and client needs - it is important to our Vision that the barbershop be an inviting and inclusive space.

Job Description:
  • Welcome clients and complete client consultation
  • Provides customers with barbering services: Hair cuts, skin fades, shaves, trims, and tapers hair, using clippers, comb, blow-out gun, and scissors
  • Provides beard and mustache trimming or shaving services using razors or trimmers
  • Provides additional services that include head massage and facial treatment
  • Follows our high standard and reputable client service of included hair washing, hot towel treatment, and hair styling
  • Sanitizes and cleans work area and work tools and equipment between customers
  • Manages inventory and notifies owner for purchasing supplies
  • Time management of scheduled appointments, walk-in clients, and breaks
  • Basic cash handling skills and use of Square POS
  • Sells additional products and works to schedule clients for their future appointments when closing out

Job Requirements:
  • Non-expired Washington State License in Barbering or Cosmetology
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to legally work in the United States

Schedule:
  • Less than 30 hours per week - subject to schedule availability

Pay:
Competitive Pay, starting at $20.00 per hour + tips
