We’re currently searching for Arts Program Coordinator and Studio 72 Living Learning Community Program Director to join Student Engagement and Campus Life team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission. Here’s what you need to know about the role:

1) You’ll be joining the Student Engagement and Campus Life team; a department centered on uplifting the student experience by cultivating affirming environments, promoting holistic well-being, and providing exceptional services, programs, and facilities. You will also be supported by colleagues in Living Learning Programs.

2) You’ll be reporting to the Arts Program Director, in a Regular twelve-month, 100% administrative professional appointment.

3) The Arts Program Coordinator supports the Studio 72 Living Learning Community and its 100+ student members as they experience the LLC and arts at Virginia Tech in a llearning-centricand relationship focused environment. Additional responsibilities include the support of arts programming for the Blacksburg and Roanoke campuses.

4) You’ll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.

5) You’ll be offered a base compensation package between $42-45,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package wthatincludes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, art history, arts administration, arts education, or a related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of diverse arts disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and teach others through the arts
  • Demonstrated creativity and robust idea generation
  • Demonstrated administrative experience including supervision and budget
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate conflict, multiple stakeholder groups, and competing priorities gracefully through exceptional communication
  • Demonstrated experience fostering diverse and inclusive environments and establishing positive, productive working relationships with diverse groups of constituents

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters of Fine Arts (MFA)
  • Experience managing art and teaching art at any level (K-12, collegiate)
  • Experience designing and implementing small-scale events
  • Demonstrated capacity and skill in organizing a wide range of varied tasks efficiently and effectively
