Summary of Position


We are seeking a Financial Analyst within the Finance business unit. This position is responsible for assisting with the successful migration to SAP S/4 HANA and serving as the subject matter expert in the SAP S/4 HANA platform. Responsible for ongoing improvement and support, developing best practices, and driving usage in the system. This position would work closely with end users to understand functionality and reporting to drive effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the successful implementation and migration to SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Provide SAP expert knowledge in the functional areas of Finance.
  • Participate in relevant implementations and continuous improvement initiatives, including design, configuration, testing and implementation.
  • Work with complex accounting environments, including multi-entity consolidations, especially foreign currency activities.
  • Develop relationships with Business Unit Leaders to drive the effectiveness of the SAP solution.
  • Utilize analytical skills to introduce and incorporate process and change management into business matters with the desired result of creating efficiencies and improving work practices.
  • Review statistics to validate or challenge the way things have always been done and identify areas for process improvements and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other corporate groups to align reports and reporting needs to help accelerate corporate close and reporting.
  • Work closely with end users to fully understand the user functionality, pain points, and areas of improvements within the application.
  • Assist with other consolidations tasks as needed, such as journal entries and performance of corporate controls.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business
  • 3+ years SAP experience
  • Ability to interpret SAP data and perform complex calculations.
  • Ability to understand and integrate SAP solutions into business processes.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP payroll, general ledger
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills required to communicate and work with all levels of employees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SAP S/4 HANA
  • Located in the DMV (DC/Maryland/Virginia area) to commute as needed to the Bethesda, MD office.

Reporting Relationships

  • This position will report to the Controller and have no direct reports.

Work Environment

  • Remote work with a preference to be located in the DMV (DC/Maryland/Virginia area) to commute as needed to the Bethesda, MD office.
