We are looking for passionate Hardware Engineers to design and develop hardware solutions for state-of-the-art safety-critical systems in the areas of Avionics and Space Exploration to join our team. Positions include full-time or hourly, Medical/Dental/Vision benefits, and a 12% company paid individual IRA contribution for full-time employees. Salary range is $95,000-$145,000 depending on experience. Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in Hardware Design Engineering
• Motivated self-starter who has the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Technical writing skills: capable of creating required engineering documentation
• Ability to work with mechanical designs and drawings associated with controlled power converters and power systems including energy storage systems and related control assemblies
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will make impacts in the following ways:

• Design, develop and produce high power electronic control and propulsion systems used in hybrid and electrical buses, trucks and vessels across the globe.
• Conduct research, design, configuration control and documentation, and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, electrical and mechanical components, printed circuit boards and mechanical assemblies.
• Design new or modify existing products, develop technical specifications for production, analyze hardware configuration and processing solutions, and test hardware conformance to specifications.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in power electronics related design and development, including familiarity with motor drives, gate drivers, mechanical assembles and housings
• Experience in full lifecycle development including component level requirements and design, documentation and configuration control, component and system-level integration, validation, and verification
• Experience working in a high voltage / high power lab environment
• Experience with mechanical design analysis tools such as Windchill, Ansys, and Creo
