Kennel Technician job description:

Our Kennel Technicians are the pups PAWrents away from home! Kennel technicians are responsible for the day-to-day care of boarders and daycare pups. It is vital that candidates have the ability and willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for all animals in the facility. Kennel technicians must learn about medical issues that may arise with a pup, and what symptoms to keep an eye out for.

Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

• Clean and disinfect all boarding and daycare rooms in facility daily.
• Make diets, feed and give water to all dogs.
• Take pups to and from their owners at check in/check out and take to correct play areas.
• Do dishes and laundry throughout the day.
• Keep an eye on the well-being of dogs.

Skills needed for this position include:

• Friendly, out-going, positive attitude
• Patience and dedication
• Responsible and reliable
• Ability to handle and care for pets
• Understand and follow instructions
• Be able to work on a team
• Must be able to lift or carry up to 50lbs
• Excellent communication skills

Availability:

Job requires open availability, must be flexible. Working weekends and Holidays are a requirement!
