HCE is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) and a Land Surveyor In Training (LSIT) with duties to include:

  • Supervision and Daily Operation of Survey Staff;
  • Cost Estimates and Bidding of Projects;
  • Maintaining Client Relationships;
  • Preparation of A.L.T.A.,
  • Illinois Land Survey Standard Boundary's,
  • Topographic, Condominium and Mortgage Surveys;
  • Preparation of Plats of Surveys for Subdivisions, Easements, Dedications, Vacations and Route Surveys;
  • GPS Control, and GIS Studies.
  • Field Data collection, documentation and staking for:
  • ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys
  • Route Surveys
  • Topographic Surveys
  • Construction Staking and Transportation projects with construction firms, local municipalities, IDOT, Tollway and others
  • Experience with Trimble equipment and Spectra Precision GPS
  • LSIT or more than 5 years of survey crew experience
  • Micro Station and Geopak experience
  • Adherence to QAQC procedures
  • Construction layout and reading of construction plans
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Understanding of and experience with IDOT Standards/ Code lists and survey requirements.
