Responsibilities
- Be an example for other Caregivers for reliability, caregiving skills, communications,
documentation, and completion of paperwork.
- Ensure that caregivers are properly trained to care for the client. This includes documenting
onsite training sessions, directly observing caregivers performing tasks and referring additional training needs to management.
- Re-train employees on site, as needed.
- Routine pop-ins on staff to ensure services are being provided.
- Provides personal care to residents per their individualized plan of care.
- Prepare residents for meals and assist to and from the dining room. Assist residents with meal set up and eating.
- Assist residents with toilet and incontinence care.
- Perform clinical procedures according to facility standards and scope of practice regulations.
- Perform vital signs, B/Ps, weights and other trained procedures as directed by management.
- Complete prevention and restorative care including, but not limited to, range of motion
exercises, ambulation, transferring, bathing, grooming, and all other ADL care.
- Fills in as a caregiver to ensure all shifts are covered.
- Support weekend shifts, as needed.
- A part of the on-call rotation
- Supports a positive, friendly relationship with all clients, caregivers and staff.
- Must be reliable and responsive in order to assist clients promptly. Ability to portray confidence
and convey trust and empathy with a high degree of caring for all individuals.
- Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, residents, families, visitors, and other disciplines.
- Adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, worker safety and other emergency procedures.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA policies.
- Seek out and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Must have compassion for and desire to work alongside our aging population!
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have 1 year experience as a Caregiver, SRNA, or KMA preferably in long-term care
preferred. Supervisory experience of 6 months or more in a health-related field.
- Effectively communicate with families, residents, and co-workers.
- Problem solving skills required.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Understanding State Regulations and Human Resources Rules.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
