The Volvo Construction Equipment Uptime & customer support is at the heart of our business.

You will be working in the Logistics Solutions team which interfaces with Volvo dealers (our customers), internal personnel, and Volvo warehouses to quote parts availability, process orders, communicate order status, and resolve issues as they arise to maintain high customer service and satisfaction.

Being the VCE Key User for PartsLinq, the dealer parts order entry platform, you are responsible for managing and optimizing our logistics platform to support the sales of our parts products to dealers and internal Volvo personnel.

As a critical member of our team, the Logistics Platform Specialist plays a key role in streamlining our supply chain operations by optimizing the performance of our logistics platform.
Your Impact:
We are looking for a self-driven platform specialist with a “can-do” attitude that is going to take good care of our customers’ needs. In order to succeed in this job, you must:
  • Manage and optimize the logistics platform to ensure efficient and effective parts sales operations
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure that the logistics platform supports their objectives
  • Develop and implement logistics platform strategies that align with the goals of the organization
  • Monitor the performance of the logistics platform and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Research and report on order-related projects and programs

You will mainly:
  • Handle all order-related questions from dealers and internal personnel, redirecting non-order related customer concerns to appropriate internal personnel
  • Quote parts availability/order status to dealers and Volvo personnel supporting SDLG and the Volvo Rigid product line
  • Provide parts technical support
  • Assist with the training of new employees, both internal and external
  • Liaise with customs brokers and freight carriers for importation of SDLG products
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as suppliers, customers, and logistics partners
  • Provide training and support to users of the logistics platform
  • Participate in AGILE processes as required

Must haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field (Extensive industry experience and knowledge may be considered in lieu of degree requirements in exceptional circumstances)
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics or parts coordination ideally in the construction equipment industry or order management and customer service-related positions outside of the industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Experience with SAP and AGILE processes preferred
