Overview:

This position is responsible for performing transactional receiving, shipping, manufacturing work order release and system updates, quality documentation and assist with lean deployment activities within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods and associated ERP system updates
  • Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list
  • Updating the product inventory as products are received and added to the inventory
  • Obtain and process manufacturing work orders, including receiving deliveries from sister plants
  • Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
  • Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
  • Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
  • Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
  • Work with internal departments and customers to assist with accounts recievables
  • May make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
  • Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures
  • Contributes to the department continuous improvement culture
  • Adherence to Company Quality Procedures, Standards & product specifications.
  • Assist in achieving departmental targets (as defined in Departmental Key Process Indicators).
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
  • Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
  • Coordinate incoming quality issues, document and assist with directing the issues to appropriate department
  • Assist with lean deployment activities, Kaizen card management and improvement initiatives
  • Other tasks as directed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required;
  • Must be able to; lift 55 pounds and walk up and down stairs/ladders frequently, stand for extended periods, and work in tight spaces
  • 2 3 years previous experience in a finance/ office admin role
  • Previous experience in accounting department a plus

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
