OPERATIONS SPECIALIST JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Specialist to support the Head of Operations and Operations Directors in the Module Assembly Sector of the Automotive Industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and improving operational efficiency across the organization, developing and implementing strategies, and leading cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a proven track record of providing high-quality cross functional team engagement in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency across the organization. • Collaborate with Operations Directors, Plant Managers, and other cross-functional teams to identify and resolve operational issues, bottlenecks, and process gaps. • Conduct research, analyze data, and provide recommendations to improve performance. • Develop and maintain process documentation, training materials, and read across coordination between all plant and operations leadership.

  • Provide training to plant teams on operational development, systems and processes, and to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. • Build and improve relationships across all plants, and functional teams. • Coordinate operational best practices / read across ideas across all plants and headquarter engineering. • Develop standardized practices for reporting off target metrics across our plants.
  • Troubleshooting non-performing areas of the plants in parallel with plant ME’s utilizing BI data and making suggestions to improve • Support Pre audit prep & strategies to ensure we are prepared for internal and 3rd party audits. • People focused strategies to ensure engagement from all is happening within the plants. • Facilitate and organize topics and speakers for the monthly operations leadership meeting. • Organize Huddle meeting strategies within our plants.
  • Provide support for special projects and initiatives as required, including research, data analysis, and project management. • Lead and train plant staff in Kaizen Roadmap deployment through team huddles, team boards and strategic Initiatives. • Willingness to pitch in and take on new projects as requested. • All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the automotive industry or module assembly sector. • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide recommendations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Proficient in Microsoft Office. TRAVEL: • Travel Required: 30-40% travel is expected to our plants for projects, training, and • Ability to come to local Auburn Hills office as needed.
