Job Description:
- As a member of the Transport Crew, assists in meeting the physical and emotional needs of ill and injured patients.
- Promotes safe and efficient operation of Flight For Life. Consults with Level II Paramedic in the delivery of patient care and associated functions.
- Assists with patient care in the hospital within scope of practice and hospital guidelines, except in activities that would prevent an immediate response for a patient transport.
- Operates Flight For Life vehicles including ambulances and the Flight For Life Suburban, in support of ground ambulance operations, relocating vehicles to cover for maintenance, and other program needs.
- Ensures decontamination of the vehicles and equipment. Ensures the ambulance is equipped and stocked.
- Provides reassurance and comfort to family members. Demonstrates compassion in interactions with families and patients.
- Documents patient care activities in a timely manner, maintaining confidentiality.
What You Bring/Job Requirements:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- Current Colorado State Paramedic Certification, and National Registry certification as a Paramedic
- HS diploma or GED required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate) Required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PHTLS (Pre hosp Trauma Life Support) and STABLE within 6 months of hire/transfer
- Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operator (EVOC or CVEO) within 6 months of hire/transfer. AND Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass the annual driving record review for safe vehicle operations
Heavy Work - (Exert up to 100lbs force occasionally, and/or 50lbs frequently, and/or 20lbs constantly)

$21.44 - $34.03 / hour
