Innovative Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinist Project Manager to join our team. As the Machinist Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing machining and fabrication projects from start to finish. Your expertise in machining, fabrication, and project management will be crucial in delivering high-quality products and services to our diverse range of clients across various industries. You will collaborate closely with our engineering, automation, and prototyping teams to ensure seamless project execution and successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage machining and fabrication projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
- Customer Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and offer innovative solutions to meet their project goals.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, automation, and prototyping, to develop comprehensive project plans, allocate resources effectively, and ensure smooth project execution.
- Machining and Fabrication Expertise: Utilize your extensive knowledge of machining and fabrication techniques to guide and advise the team in producing high-quality components and assemblies.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure that all machined and fabricated products meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Resource Management: Optimize the utilization of machining and fabrication equipment, materials, and manpower to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement within the machining and fabrication department.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and quality assurance records.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in machining and fabrication are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in machining and fabrication, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and manage project plans, allocate resources, and track project progress.
- Machining Expertise: Proficient in operating and programming manual and CNC machining centers. Experience with welding and other fabrication techniques is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of machining processes, materials, and equipment. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and 3D design tools.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose effective solutions, and overcome technical challenges.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and precision of machined and fabricated components.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster a collaborative work environment, and drive project success.
