Job Description

Fernwood Realty is seeking a dependable individual with prior experience in real estate financial analysis and valuation for Multi-Family Properties. This is a full-time position. Excellent analytical and professional business writing skills are required. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Real Estate. Superior computer skills are a must; candidate should possess a high comfort level with Microsoft Excel and have excel financial modeling capabilities.
The Financial Analyst/Real Estate Analyst will provide financial and analytical support services, which will include data input, underwriting property values, performing market research, in order to evaluate real estate, analyzing comparable properties and sales trends and preparing financial analysis for presentation to clients. Professionalism and attention to detail are musts.
The Financial Analyst will be a resourceful contributor to the team who can operate in a fast paced environment, take direction, and multi-task under tight deadlines. Consistently projecting a friendly and professional demeanor, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of all properties for Senior Agents on the Team.
Duties Will Include

· Reviewing financial statements and other documents and data provided by clients

· Analyzing financial information and inputting financial data into financial models

· Analysis of unit-level expense reimbursements and reconciliation documents

· Formulating underwriting questions for follow-up with clients

· Preparing financial models in Microsoft Excel

· Calculating property-specific financial metrics such as cash-on-cash return, leveraged IRR, debt service coverage ratios, loan constants, weighted average lease term.

· Translating financial data and underwriting models into a presentable format using Adobe InDesign

· Gather and research sales and rent comparables

· Due Diligence

Job Requirements

· Bachelor's degree, or higher (flexible if candidate has prior experience)

· Financial analysis and underwriting – minimum 1 years

· Exceptional analytical skills

· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

· Must be highly organized and detail oriented

· Works well under deadlines

· Creative self-starter

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, with expertise in Microsoft Excel

· Ability to handle sensitive material and maintain the highest level of confidentiality

· Have a team-player attitude

Salary has room for growth.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
