Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Recruitment Coordinator at Galen College of Nursing, you will assist the Recruitment team with finding, sourcing, attracting, and hiring talent that satisfies our organizational needs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Execute sourcing, screening, and engagement strategies to identify qualified candidates through various sourcing channels
  • Creates, posts, and manages job openings in the ATS and external job boards.
  • Build a robust and consistent talent pool to find qualified candidates, both active and passive
  • Utilize Galen’s Employer Brand to effectively build relationships with external candidates and to ‘market’ opportunities within Galen
  • Partner with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to understand the requirements for each specific position.
  • Help organize and plan in-person hiring events.
  • Assist with the new hire onboarding process.
  • Check references for potential new hires.
  • Assist the recruitment team with other administrative tasks.
Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of candidate sourcing experience, preferably in nursing or higher education.

Special Qualifications:

  • Understanding of human resources policies and practices
  • Ability to conduct various types of interviews and candidate screening (online, phone)
  • Knowledge of HR databases and applicant tracking systems
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to work from home.
Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment: The position requires mental activity, reading, planning, preparing, evaluating, and decision-making. Physical demands considered sedentary work with occasional lifting and/or carrying of such articles as records, files, and books (10 pounds maximum). Operation of standard office equipment such as phones, computers, and printer/scanners, occurs on a frequent basis. Travel to campus locations may be required.
