Job Description
Design, develop, configure, and implement the Transportation Management System (TMW LTL Operations) in assigned Distribution Center. Lead project teams relative to assigned systems.
- Manage multiple tasks associated with one or more projects.
- Understand and communicate all processes associated with TMW LTL Operations.
- Organize and manage projects including management of project scope, lead regular status meetings, determine internal and external resource requirements, assignment of individual responsibilities, address issues, create and execute project work plans, create and manage project budget.
- Configure system and support operation for the assigned Distribution Center.
- Work with MBIS to manage project timelines.
- Work with vendors, MBIS and Distribution Center leaders to develop and deliver complex ad hoc reports.
- Function as subject matter expert with PeopleNet and TMW.
- Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
- Create and implement project plan to achieve desired results.
- Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, preferred.
- 2 or more years of Transportation operations experience.
- Proficient history of successful project management (or related experience) with 3 or more years of experience in project management and/or transportation management.
- Experience with Software systems implementation.
- Office environment
- Travel required up to 80% of the time.
