UX Researcher

We are looking for an experienced UX researcher to join our team. You will be responsible for helping define and drive the future of our products. You will reveal what our users need from our products by conducting research, working with cross-functional teams, and performing usability studies. These responsibilities also include inspiring change, delivering oral and written presentations, evaluating qualitative and quantitative data, and helping the UX team better understand what would make a user’s experience more intuitive, accessible, and seamless.

Qualifications

Ability to Integrate UX Research to create great products through understanding user needs (generative research) and evaluating design concepts. The ideal candidate will have the ability to run discovery in the problem space to gain an understanding of the differing user types (personas), run studies focused on formative and summative evaluations, to form a deep understanding of users.

  • 4+ years of user-research in a digital product/UX environment

  • Strong understanding of user-research techniques and methods

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence stakeholders to determine business strategy in the digital space, develop and execute research approaches while maintaining collaborative working relationships.

  • Experience working with business, technical and design constraints.

  • Experience in working on varied projects; sometimes simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated experience in defining research criteria, leading user research, and providing analysis, recommendations, and direction to key stakeholders.

  • The ability to synthesize qualitative (and quantitative) data into meaningful findings and insights that Stakeholders can action on.

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving client experiences.

  • Experienced in working in a digital product environment; leading moderated research with a variety of audiences; setting up studies in unmoderated/survey and information architecture tools.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • Master’s Degree in the field of HCI / Human Factors is preferred.

  • Experienced in synthesizing raw qualitative data into meaningful findings and insights that Stakeholders can action on.

Responsibilities

  • The UX Research Professional is focused on both qualitative and quantitative research and analysis of digital products.

  • Creates and executes research for pre- and post-design stages, including generative research to understand user personas and user journeys. And evaluative studies on digital products to create and optimize the user-experience.

  • The UX Research Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

  • The UX Research Professional creates and executes research plans for varied digital products and/or gaining an understanding of the problem space during discovery.

  • This role will guide UX Designers and Digital Product Managers on strategy, approach, and execution of the user-experience.

  • The primary focus for this role will be to coordinate with the team to identify the problem, build a research plan, and execute that plan using a variety of tactics and tools, including, but not limited to moderated and unmoderated studies.

  • May assist in the planning of digital product strategy.

  • May make hardware and/or software purchasing recommendations or decisions regarding research opportunities.

  • Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.

  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
