Job Summary:

The Content Development and Curation Manager will develop training content for Disneyland Resort Operations. In this role you will collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to develop training solutions that provide value balanced with the unique needs of today’s Cast Members. You will have a proficiency in content development, project planning, and storytelling. The range of work can be complex and confidential in nature.

You will report to the Sr Operations Training Manager – Program Design.

Responsibilities/ You Will:

  • Identify learning needs and apply strategic planning and advising techniques to build training content that is effective and relevant.
  • Coordinate with internal partners to align content, materials, and resources with the business goals.
  • Update, localize and customize course content to align with business objectives (e.g., Step into the Magic)
  • Develop and sustain strategic training products and plans within budget and work to influence the consistent application of standards through the organization.
  • Optimize the training experience through multiple delivery methods, including classroom, web-conference, video, and e-learning.
  • Assist in Developing, implementing, and sustaining Operational Leadership planning (ex. Immersive Training, Step into the Magic, etc.), demonstrating the overall strategic vision of the site. Help to translate and integrate the vision into strategic operating development plans.
  • Design customized training products from end to end from concept to delivery including but not limited to scripts, PowerPoint, multimedia components.
  • Facilitate dialogue with a broad audience to influence training strategies and identify training solutions; validate content and delivery methodologies.
  • Maintain an understanding of organizational priorities, business requirements, existing and future opportunities, climate, environmental impacts, and overall landscape of conditional and attributes affecting the business and training needs.
  • Invite varied perspectives, encouraging an inclusive work environment, and supporting workforce diversity with passion and dedication.
  • Conduct research relevant to the external industry as needed.

Basic Qualifications/ You Will Have:

  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience
  • Experience leading and driving projects
  • Skills to influence, communicate, present, and speak publicly
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrable ability to influence and collaborate with executives and senior leader levels
  • Leadership, organizational and project management skills
  • Professional and effective verbal and written communication
  • Consulting and client management skills
  • Demonstrable ability to apply strategy and business insights to build long-term approaches to projects
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and adjust to a changing business environment
  • Handle confidential information discreetly and appropriately
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint/Collaboration Workspace, Adobe Suite products

Preferred Qualifications

It would be great if you also have:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Previous video editing experience
  • Knowledgeable in relevant e-learning software
  • Project management experience

This role is considered on-site, which means you will work from a Company designated location on an ongoing basis.

The hiring range for this position in location is $69,946 to $93,830 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
