Job Description

The Project Manager plans and organizes resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. Projects are temporary endeavors with defined beginning and end and are usually constrained by time and resources. The role partners with project stakeholders, internal/external customers, and cross-functional teams. The PM facilitates a cross-functional team to execute on defined deliverables and drives decisions. Common activities typically include requirements gathering, project planning, change control, risk management, close out and reporting. The PM uses industry recognized/generally accepted PM knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to achieve a project's stated objectives. Typically, does not independently deliver content or decisions which define final project deliverables.

Major Tasks:


  • Leads small to medium projects under moderate to minimal supervision.
  • Collects and organizes resources, cost and other budget needs.
  • Oversees projects which have a typical cycle of 1 - 6 months.
  • Manages actions which may cause or prevent delays and cause inefficiencies of the team.
  • Projects typically span across organizations (departments) but may also directly affect a business, the unit and/or the entire company.
  • Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources.
  • Ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
  • Translates project requirements into project objectives and tasks.
  • Reports on project progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinates the resources necessary to successfully complete the project.
  • Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; manages prioritization procedures.
  • Sets and manages client expectations, managing and escalating issues and changes.
  • Measures progress toward goals and revises project objectives; documents applying change control procedures.
  • Obtains feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts meeting customer expectations for time, cost, and results.
  • Builds relationships with key stakeholders and project resources to drive key decisions and ensure timely project completion.


Qualifications:

Required:


  • BS/BA degree in a related discipline with 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Or 4 years of experience in a related field in lieu of a degree
  • Requires working knowledge of functional or related processes
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Proficiency of MS Office based applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and verbal and written communication skills to lead and work effectively with teams throughout organization.
  • Ability to work both independently and within teams


Preferred :
  • Experience in the cloud or MSP industry desired
  • PMP or CAPM Certification is preferred
  • Basic familiarity with Salesforce is preferred
