Help bring tasty, wholesome and nutritious food to patients, families and employees at UCLA Health. You will perform a variety of duties relevant to the retail food service operations of the Department of Nutrition. Responsibilities include: * Set up service lines * Pre-plate and serve food * Aid in the preparation of meals * Merchandise food items, maintain the beverage station, * Act as a food runner * Measure temperatures of hot and cold items * Wash dishes, pans, utensils, and small equipment Salary Range: $18.90-23.02 Hourly

Required: * Ability to apply basic nutrition production skills. * Knowledge of portion control and serving procedures. * Knowledge of retail operations such as station setup, replenishment, merchandising and inventory procedures. * Interpersonal skills to accomplish departmental mission of exceeding customer's expectations. * Knowledge of and adherence to prescribed safety, sanitation, and food handling practices according to HACCP and JC policies. * Ability to work independently, following through on assignments with minimal direction. * Ability to stand, bend, walk, reach, lift, push, and pull for prolonged periods of time in hot and cold areas. * Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs. * Ability to work around or use strong cleaning solutions. * Skill in reading, speaking, and writing English. * Ability to assist in training peers as needed. * Knowledge of various kitchen equipment.
