Shannon & Wilson is building our Information Technology team in our Seattle office! We are looking for a candidate with a background in network administration, cyber security best practices as well as project management and organization skills to collaborate with our existing IT team. Job Summary:

The Information Security Analyst will be familiar and have some experience with common security specifications and standards (CMMC, ISO2700x, NIST 800). They will assist with planning, implementing, and maintaining corporate security policies that incorporate the security measures and controls contained in the required standards. This includes reviewing security requirements and translating them into actionable items to create our system security plan documentation.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing security compliance, audits, and certification programs for the company.
  • Review cyber security requirements for project contracts and translate them into policies and procedures that communicate the requirements to staff and help ensure compliance.
  • Develop processes for incident reporting that meets our contract and relevant compliance requirements.
  • Assist with responding to security questionnaires from clients.
  • Assist with cyber security-related vendor assessment, evaluation, and management.
  • Manage the company's security awareness training program.
  • Create system user policy documents for all US office locations.
  • Assist with developing/refining IT disaster recovery plan.
  • Effectively recognize threats by performing relevant research and data analysis.
  • Investigate potential incidents flagged by our MDR partner.
  • Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause. Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures for intrusion detection and prevention.
  • Keep current on cybersecurity issues and trends, evaluate security technologies, participate in relevant training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • B.S. in Information Security, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience; with at least 2 years being in Information Security.
  • Proficient knowledge in various security and risk standards with cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, Security+, etc) desired.
  • Experience with network administration and be able to understand our network layout and systems in order to coordinate with other IT staff, consultants, and stakeholders on security projects.
  • Must have excellent project management skills and be able to manage project scope, timelines, and communication.

The pay range for this position depends on skills, education, and experience. In additional to base pay, all employees are also eligible for an annual year-end discretionary bonus. If an employee is exempt, they are eligible to accrue comp time in hours excess of 40 each week.

This position typically would be placed at a Senior Technical Services level.

  • Senior Technical Services: $72,800 to $95,680
