Job Description

This is a remote role; however, candidates must reside in the Austin, TX metro to be considered. The starting salary for this role is $90,000 - $125,000 per year with eligibility for an annual bonus. Starting salary is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to geographic location and prior experience.

Summary:

Dirty Hands Growth Services team provides brands with customized sales and distribution management aimed to accelerate strategic growth within the Natural and Organic retail space. The Key Account Manager role is responsible for driving growth for a portfolio of national brands, facilitating and maintaining strategic relationships, and leveraging analytics and data to support product presentation within Whole Foods Market.

Ideal candidates will have existing relationships with and experience selling to Whole Foods Market at the Global level, as well as an intimate working knowledge of UNFI, Kehe, DPI and other nationally based distribution companies. Successful candidates will be analytical, organized, and proactive communicators.

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships between regional/national brands and Whole Foods Market Category Management Team.
  • Own the category review process at Whole Foods Market for brands in your portfolio.
  • Drive sales growth and profitability within an existing product portfolio.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities with new, national brands.
  • Plan and process all new and promotional sales items.
  • Maintain all aspects of item viability.
  • Analyze data and sales statistics and proactively improve strategies.
  • Maintain company sales tracking tools with up-to-date notes, data, and insights.
  • Address and resolve all client issues and concerns.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of client needs and prepare customized solutions.
  • Work closely with field teams to ensure strong communication and execution of promotional programs.
  • Consistently analyze trends within the CPG space in order to improve strategy.


Requirements

  • 4-7 years' experience working with and selling to Whole Foods Market at the Global level.
  • Working knowledge of UNFI/KeHE distributors.
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to navigate the natural channel distributor and retailer space.
  • Record of success developing and exceeding annual sales objectives within Whole Foods Market.
  • High level of organization/attention to detail and a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to extrapolate selling stories from syndicated data and develop compelling sales presentations.
  • Proficient in Google for Business, MS Office applications.
