Position description: We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience and expertise in software and robotics engineering, that will help support TRIC research and development. As an Agricultural/Mechanical Engineer, you will work with cutting-edge technology and play an important role as we expand to farms across California’s Central Coast. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainable innovation, loves solving new and exciting problems, is detail-oriented and works well in a team. You will contribute your experience in software and electromechanical systems to directly impact design decisions on future platforms. In this role you will be working daily with the core and operator team to ensure technical objectives are met.
Responsibilities
Contribute hydraulics expertise for current and future robot development
Model and test mechanical systems in Solidworks
Design and conduct controlled experiments
Collaborate with field operations team to improve robot performance
Complete and take ownership of other assigned tasks
Requirements
Experience with designing and building large scale/agricultural equipment
Expertise in CAD (Solidworks)
Strong understanding of electrical design principles
Experience with welding
Takes initiative in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Can quickly adapt to new tools and solve new problems
Complete and take ownership of other tasks depending on business needs
Nice to have
MS in relevant field
Experience with light/reflector research
PCB design experience
Experience with PLC
Location: TRIC Robotics office in Santa Maria, CA.
Process marijuana plants ( trim buds, break down plants, prepare fresh frozen material for extraction, etc.). Learn and uphold product quality standards.
Assist in general warehouse duties upon completing the delivery route. Which includes creating a daily delivery route based on orders received,.
