JOB SUMMARY:

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is a critical member of the Executive team responsible for developing and implementing strategies, goals, and objectives that directly impact the viability and success of the organization. The COO will focus on managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the company.

**Please note: This is an on-site position in our Green Bay Office**

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee Warehousing and Distribution functions of the company
  • Actively engage as a member of the Executive team to build and execute company strategy and objectives
  • Establish procedures and guidelines that bring structure without stifling creativity
  • Responsible for driving the team to achieve and surpass operational goals and objectives
  • Foster a culture of accountability by establishing KPIs that facilitate focus and accurately monitor performance
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operational projects and systems
  • Work closely with the Chief Personnel Officer on company-wide culture development
  • Identify efficiency gaps and implement processes/procedures to improve efficiency
  • Work with HR to develop metrics for incentive compensation and performance
  • Provide performance reports and metrics to the CEO/President and other executive leadership
  • Establish and implement operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in operations management
  • Implement relevant technologies to increase efficiencies and communication
  • Consistently analyze operational metrics to evaluate performance objectives and determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy/process change
  • Advises and makes recommendations to the President/CEO concerning budget, cost, and financial matters and encourages and assists department heads in establishing a measure of performance, increased productivity, quality improvement, cost controls, and maximum utilization of facilities

KEY COMPETENCIES / WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 10+ years of equivalent work experience in an operations role (specifically overseeing warehousing, transportation, and/or logistics fields)
  • Outstanding track record of delivering results through improvements in costs and production
  • Experienced in leading cross functional departments
  • Substantial experience in lean process development, inventory control, logistics, and distribution management
  • Experience managing a team of senior operations professionals
  • The ability to quickly assess the operational efficiency of a facility and prioritize improvement processes
  • Intermediate to Advanced level of knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Process and procedures orientation

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Required to frequently sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move 50+ pounds, sit; stoop, bend and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, etc.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours or work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, occasional overtime required.
