Santa Diabla is hiring a Restaurant Assistant Manager!


As our Restaurant Assistant Manager, you’ll never be bored. You’ll be responsible for making sure our restaurant runs smoothly.


Qualifications

  • Experience in restaurant management in a full-service restaurant.
  • Manager's Certifications required by the City of San Antonio.
  • Knowledgable in Metro Health Department, Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission and City of San Antonio restaurant laws, norms and regulations.
  • Excellent communicator. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. (Spanish is a plus).
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Outstanding Customer service and problem solving skills.
  • Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc.
  • Must possess extreme empathy as a quality towards our clients and team members.
  • The focus of the service you provide must be to exceed our guests expectations each and every time.

  • This position will report to the management partners, and you will work with and build a passionate team dedicated to service and hospitality standards, using your strong leadership skills and attention to operations details to help accomplish our company mission of customer satisfaction every day.

  • Providing a high level of hospitality to guests.

  • Recruit, interview and hire talent into our restaurant staff in a way that complements the restaurant's culture and enhances the guest experience.
  • Train, mentor and develop management team and members so that they can reach their career goals with our growing company.
  • Work with Marketing Director to create and support programming and social events
  • Assist the GM on completing general administrative duties including but not limited to payroll, invoicing, scheduling, inventory.
  • Oversee restaurant systems and front of house programs, including bar menus, inventories, and vendor relationships.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform.
  • Ensuring that all laws, regulations, and guidelines are being followed.
  • Ensuring that our restaurant is fully and appropriately staffed at all times.
  • Maintaining operational excellence so our restaurant is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Creating a restaurant atmosphere that both patrons and employees enjoy.
  • Various other tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as a restaurant manager
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, and the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Great leadership skills
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a staff
  • Outstanding Customer service and problem solving skills
