Job Posting Title Senior CNC Programmer

Job Description Summary #TeamAAM is looking for a CNC Programmer to join our rapidly growing team of Process Development Specialists. This individual will contribute to our Process Development/ Prototype Machining Group within the Driveline organization.

Job Description
This position will be based out of our Advanced Technology Development Center in Detroit, Michigan. Responsibilities will include Work Holding Design, Cutting Tool Selection, and CNC CAD Programming:
Develop and build efficient CNC machining programs for mills and lathes using CAD software.
Develop groundbreaking processes for our Machining Development Facility.
Acquire approval of CNC programs, revisions, and documentation.
Provide technical support to CNC operators.
Fixture design for part work holding.
Identify optimal processing method to manufacture production components.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education Required
3+ years’ experience CAD programming CNC mills and or lathes.
Understand and interpret blueprint part drawings and general GDT
Problem solving ability in a manufacturing environment.
Working in a multi-functional team environment
Cutting tools and calculating proper feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
Preferred
SmartCam 3 axis programming experience
Mastercam 3 axis programming experience
Manufacturing in a prototype or job shop environment
