Our client, an global biopharmaceutical company based in Boston. Leading the industry in innovation and strategy, they aim the create and provide medicines for individuals with serious life threatening diseases across the globe. They are seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist to oversee and streamline the importation of goods into the US.
$40 – $50/hr DOE
The Senior Logistics Specialist will be working loosely with the sales teams, the Senior Logistics Specialist will ensure an on time delivery for the customers while providing a transparent view.
- Coordinate international shipments, from various suppliers, to our facilities spread out across the US
- Provide a full E2E service to customers, ensuring customer satisfaction is exceeded
- Responsible for overseeing the destruction of rejected, returned or unusable materials ensuring compliance
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams such as Replenishment, Sales, QA, and Finance to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies
- Cultivate relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders and brokers to ensure timely and compliant shipments
- Track and monitor all incoming international and domestic shipments
- Create and update shipment tracking reports to present to management and key stakeholders in multiple departments
- Provide ongoing analyses in areas such as transportation costs, warehouse efficiency, or service level
- Highlight to the Director of Logistics variances versus the target KPI and support with the analysis and implementation of corrective plans
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
