Job Description

We are a small business that specializes in handcrafted Bath & Body and Home Fragrance products. We currently sell our products online (e-commerce) and through wholesale partnerships with retailers across the US (e.g. Nordstrom, Anthropologie, independent gift shops / spas / hotels). We are a small team based in Fremont, CA.

We are seeking a responsible and reliable Shipping Assistant (Operations Assistant) to join our team. We are a small business and the ability for the candidate to wear multiple hats is appreciated. This role will primarily involve shipping/fulfillment of orders, with some involvement in other areas as needed (e.g. packaging products, customer service, assembly lines).

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Mon-Fri (10AM – 6:30PM)

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay: $18+

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pick and pack e-commerce orders and wholesale orders
  • Prepare shipment documentation and UPS/FedEx/USPS labels via ShipStation (no prior experience needed)
  • Assist with packaging finished products (e.g. gift sets with ribbon bows)
  • Assist with assembly lines when needed. This may involve labeling, filling, boxing and case packing products
  • Perform quality assurance of finished goods and picked orders
  • Assist with customer service inquiries (including both phone calls and emails)

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in English (written and oral)
  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
  • Must be able to follow instructions and SOPs precisely
  • Must be comfortable performing physical tasks and able to stand up to 8 hours / day. Material handling may include repetitive bending, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting
  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
  • Able to provide 1- 3 professional references

  • Eager to learn and has a positive attitude! No prior experience is required and we can train the right candidate for the role. New graduates are welcome.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers via email and phone when needed
  • Trustworthy and reliable; able to follow proper security protocols when handling confidential customer information
  • Follows up and follows through on assigned responsibilities
  • Able to time manage responsibilities based on priority levels
