Amentum is seeking a dynamic Event Coordinator with experience in planning and organizing conferences, trade shows, seminars, festivals, exhibits, meetings, conventions, and other events, in support of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Science and Technology (S&T) Division at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Have experience as a project manager and can work independently to successfully achieve objectives; and
  • Have the ability to integrate USINDOPACOM activities with various stakeholders to ensure collaboration during planning and coordination during execution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide planning, coordination, and execution support for International Science & Technology (S&T) Engagement initiatives, to include Pacific Operational Science and Technology (POST) Conference, and other innovation/S&T workshops and engagements.
  • Provide external stakeholder coordination, event project planning and milestones, event logistics, topic input, event documentation, and capture and documentation of event results.
  • Support the INDOPACOM S&T office with all administrative matters, to include scheduling of meetings, conference rooms and video teleconferences
  • Assist the government with travel planning for OCONUS and CONUS requirements
  • Establish relationships with event sponsors, stakeholders, and venue and vendor POCs
  • Review, assess, compile, and disseminate documentation summary for planning developments and requirements at the conclusion of each S&T event.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient at authoring analytical and/or policy documents
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing in order to provide information, articles, written reports, and presentations to include delivering executive summaries to flag and general officers (FO/GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) level equivalents
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, or Graduation from a military command and staff college
  • 5 or more years of experience in military plans
  • 3 years' experience working in the USINDOPACOM AOR
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
