Job Summary

The Lead Clerk will be responsible for planning and prioritizing daily workflow and operations in Receiving. In addition, this position will be responsible for with the receipt of material, inventory control, release of material to the manufacturing team and stock organization.


Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:


  • Plans and prioritizes daily workflow and operations
  • Checks, counts and verifies all materials and supplies received against appropriate documentation
  • Completes all paperwork and documents involving parts or materials received into and issued out of the area to ensure accountability.
  • Pulls materials, parts and supplies to fill stock requisitions, backorders and kits
  • Communicates purchase order discrepancies with buyers to resolution
  • Conducts cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy
  • Identifies and reports damaged items
  • Prepares, verifies, loads, moves and unloads material to various points throughout the company
  • Enter and retrieve data from ManMan, Navision, Microsoft Office
  • Enforce company and departmental policies, including safety policies
  • Provides guidance for easy-to-solve issues
  • Ensures transactions are completed in a timely manner
  • Closely works with supervisor to help make improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, organization and process
  • Mentors employee through on the job training
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

  • 5 years’ experience working in receiving, preferably in manufacturing
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a heavy workload while remaining detail oriented
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic MS office skills
  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably ManMan and Navision
  • Experience operating weight scale, counters, floor jacks, order pickers
  • Forklift certified
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • May require pushing, pulling, squatting, reaching, bending, carrying, lifting, walking
  • Good attendance and punctuality

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required

Work Environment

This job operates in a manufacturing warehouse environment.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
