Senior Genetic Testing Solutions Sales Representative

How will you make an impact?

This role drives growth of our genetic testing business, including Pharmacogenomics, oncology and infectious disease. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear understanding of selling into CLIA-certified laboratories, Reference Labs and Hospitals and must demonstrate an understanding of molecular workflows, particularly in quantitative PCR (gene expression and genotyping) and have working experience with capillary electrophoresis and microarray technologies. This role is charged with attaining a sales quota and developing high level customer relationships.

What will you do?

  • Prospect, develop and close business in clinical molecular markets.
  • Apply product and application knowledge and consultative and strategic selling techniques across our molecular genetic portfolio.
  • Leverage market knowledge of clinical qPCR business for Infectious Disease, including COVID-19, Oncology and Pharmacogenomics to provide solutions best suited to address clinical customer needs.
  • Consistently and accurately guide the sales process, including sales forecasting, pipeline management and sales tracking, using Salesforce and other designated IT tools.
  • Regularly use analytics tools and CRM to drive territory success and achieve plan.
  • Assess sales team training needs then provide market feedback and product development input to internal business partners.

How will you get there?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or equivalent knowledge and experience. [A Master’s or PhD degree is a plus].
  • Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in Life Sciences (highly preferred) or similar Field Application Support.
  • Sales experience with qPCR Capital Equipment or equivalent instrumentation used for diagnostic testing and can speak to competitors' technologies while independently driving sales throughout all stages of the sales work flow.
  • Scientific consulting competence required with extensive understanding of qPCR technologies and applications.
  • Ability to accurately cost projects and speak to workflow advantages to bring value and return on investment with customers and sales colleagues.
  • Ability to efficiently navigate through a team selling matrix.
  • Proven track record selling to decision makers and business leaders/owners.
  • Sales leadership: Ability to drive to results to meet/exceed company goals
  • Establish positive relationships, collaborate and communicate clearly.
  • Demonstrate value by linking solutions to key customer challenges and opportunities; comfortable influencing and negotiating.
  • Located within the defined geography of the territory.
  • Minimum 25%-50% travel.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Experience in Clinical Diagnostic Sales preferred, special emphasize on laboratory developed tests (LDTs).
  • Experience in COVID-19 PCR testing workflow strongly preferred.

The salary range estimated for this position is $100,000 - $155,000 annually This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $99,800.00–$149,750.00.
